27th June 2017 - New Web Slide Portal installed at University of Leipzig

VMscope completed its new Virtual Microscopy web portal. The system is now also capable for tablets and smartphones and supports touch gestures. The web portal can be used for e-learning, asynchronous or live teleconsultation. First customer is the University of Leipzig, where the system has been officially launched today. There are already 250 students registered in the system, that can now view histology slides via web from home.

16th June 2016 - Report from the "13th European Congress on Digital Pathology"

VMscope showed its novelties at the "13th European Congress on Digital Pathology" in Berlin. That is also shown on a video (in german) from LivingImages, which you can watch here.

24th March 2016 - VMscope as sponsor for the hosting of WSI slides on the "13. European Congress on Digital Pathology"

On the digital pathology congress held in May in Berlin, VMscope will exlusively offer the hosting of WSI slides for the congress. Our format independent streaming server is of course most suitable for this task.
We also use this occasion to present our new web microscope for the first time, which will run on PCs, tablets and also smartphones.

18th September 2015 - Our CD15 Quantifier facilitates the diagnostics of joint infections

At the Centre for Histology, Cytology and Molecular Diagnostics Trier and others the CD15 Quantifier was developed and established together with VMscope GmbH. A scientific study now shows the high diagnostic relevance of the application and the improvement and reproducibility achieved through our software.

9th March 2015 - Our web microscope on the tablet -report from the "Bamberger Morphologietage"

VMscope attended the "Bamberger Morphologietagen 2015" and showed the integration of digital pathology into the NEXUS/PATHOLOGIE system. A further highlight was the preview of our web microscope for tablet PCs.

14th November 2014 - Further automatic marker quantifications available: ER, PR and CD15

Our range of automatic image analysis modules is permanently expanded. Now modules for automatic quantification of Estrogene, Progesterone and CD15 are available as well.

06th June 2014 - Web Slide Portal now with annotations

VMscope's VM Image Server and VM Slide Browser now also support creating, editing and deleting of annotations web based. And still no browser plugin, no Java, no Flash etc. is needed! Simply use any web browser. We support InternetExplorer, Firefox, Safari and Chrome.

23rd May 2013 - Ki67 Quantification as VMscope's new image analysis tool

VMscope increased its digital image analysis development branch since years. Now a new product is released: Ki67 Quantifier, a "one click" solution to automated Ki67 quantification. The software has already been tested successfully with more than 1000 cases and is now available. Further solutions will follow!

14.11.2012 - VM Slide Link View already in use at four customer sites

The fully automated web portal of VMscope, "VM Slide Link View", is now running successfully at four institutes since the release. Among them are pathology institutes, biobanking systems and research facilities.

20.07.2012 - Web Microscopy now even more easy: "VM Slide Link View" fully automatic

VMscope's web solutions have been further optimized and automated. The "Slide Publisher" automatically uploads your local virtual slides to a web server using FTP. And the "Slide Link View" generates a web portal automatically from them.

16.08.2011 - VMscope starts VM Plugin Store: Develop your own plugins!

You can now develop your own Virtual Microscopy application. We provide the VM Slide Explorer and a well documented SDK free of charge. That allows you to create your own tools for virtual slides, without having to care about opening of several slide scanner formats, image navigation, and so on. And if your plugin is interesting for others too, why not distributing it on the Plugin Store.

18.03.2011 - VMscope now also supports Aperio and Olympus

The compatibility of our products further increased through the integration of Aperio svs and Olympus web image format. Both our "VM Slide Explorer" and our Image Server can now open these images directly. Prior to that, Zeiss/3DHistech mrxs, Hamamatsu ndpi, JPEG2000 and our VSF format are already supported.

18.10.2010 - VMscope launches sales cooperation with Pixcelldata

VMscope concluded a cooperation with the irish company "Pixcelldata Ltd."
VMscope is now reseller for the product "Collibio", the solution for web-based collaboration on virtual slides using existing slide servers.

27.08.2009 - VMscope to take part in research project "Virtual Specimen Scout"

The "Berliner Zukunftsfonds" approved the funding of the "Virtual Specimen Scout" research project. In this project, the institute of pathology of Charité Berlin, the division Computer Vision and Remote Sensing of TU Berlin as well as VMscope GmbH and others will develop new tools for the use of Virtual Microscopy in routine pathology. Major goals are reference case databases and diagnose supporting image analysis. The project is supported with funds of the german federal state of Berlin.

06.06.2008 - VMscope receives DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 certificate

The “TÜV Nord Cert” issued VMscope GmbH the certificate for their quality management according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000. The quality management system was certified for development, assembly and distribution of hard- and software for medicine and industry with the focus on pathology as well as maintenance, support and services in this field.

02-26-2008 - More than a thousand virtual slides in IAP education portal

The digital education portal of the IAP -german division (a VM Histoportal project of VMscope GmbH), achieves two new records at a time with completion of the 35th slide collection: The whole portal now contains 1,030 virtual slides which need 1,008 GB storage space only for the image data.

On CeBIT in Hanover, VMscope GmbH is honored with the title “prize winner” of the european ICT prize by the EU cimissioner Viviane Reding. The ICT prize is the most famous european IT-prize.

12-05-2006 - Finalist of German Internet prize 2006

VMscope GmbH is elected as finalist of the German Internet prize on the “ITK Mittelstandstag”.

05-09-2006 - University hospital Aachen orders VM Histoportal

From now on, the Institute of Pathology, University hospital Aachen, offers a digital histology course based on the solutions of VMscope GmbH.
